well ive been doing shit all on the mk1, pretty annoying having it in a garage with no electrical hookup. weak.
the runaround mk3 is still giving me jip, was off the road for the better side of 2 weeks. then about 2 weeks later it was off again for another 2 weeks while i did a bit of underbody resto, and fitted a 1.6 axle with better ratios. now its been off again for about 3 weeks this time due to mot failure. they keep failing it on petty little things, like 2 welds werent ground back enough... blah!

summer is coming so i started with the pinto turbo plans that i have for the mk3.... picked up a pinto injection unit with most ancillaries still bolted up, sourced an efi loom and ecu.

the mk1 isnt really getting its fair share of time. nipped up today for a bit, dropped the remaining parts off it i could and removed all wheels etc, stray parts and all from the garage to create some working space, then put the shell on the floor ready to be rolled on a temp jig so the underneath can be sessioned and assessed for damage reports.

also rebuilding my mates cvh for his xr2 project. that shouldm be awesome project for the summer. lots of bodywork to do but a nice car with lots of potential!!

will grab some more pics to keep this thread alive....

rigwrecker... not sure on colours, its going to be a track car so nothing too subtle but i want to keep it retro all the way. really like the gulf colours but there are too many examples out there.

cheers for the interest.
