I feel for you dude, I not sure I could keep it if it broke expensive parts like that, I'm going to cry if my charger blows up, but even then it's only 1500, which is small change to you

Not spoken to either since we spoke but for now its a pain, I need MY box back in it for March, so cant be arsed messing around changing box's.

Will wait for mine to be repaired and then possibly take Alex as a spare but didnt realise it was geared as short.

Well the new box should be back mid-week so all ready to get the car ready for its next outing. Also have a front anti roll bar to go on it which should improve the handling a little hopefully.

Never had a front one fitted for some reason
Will try the 16mm frst one then a friend can make one out of 20mm if required.
Box was faulty so they've repaired for me. Bit of a pain but at least it's being sorted.

Some would say an out of date ECU now but it does it's job...

Emerald Ecu and yes runs gear selectable boost

Cool, just looking into options for my car and the boost by gear seems to be a good way..

It also seems 'DTA' do gear selectable boost control and also speed selectable boost control which could work well.
Does jkm do all your mapping?

Now the most important factor is changing my pedal box.
I knew the pedal box was not effective as the brakes have never been shit hot just average. With the car being light it scrubs speed off, but without much feed back through the pedal. This was also highlighted on the top speed run.

Yesterday though I was showing a friend how much flex was in the pedal box and whilst the car was on the truck I leaned in and pushed the pedal with my hand.
Due to not pushing perfectly straight the pedal arm bent 45 degrees
I have what has commonly be described as TWIGLET arms - this is not much force....
so once your foot/leg is pushing down it could be a lot worse if hit at the wrong angle.

Now at that point I was like FUCK

So today I started to rip the box out and its going in the bin!!!!
Even the framework had buckled where the cylinders where mounted.

That's really bad, just think how it would be if you had to stamp on the brakes, what will you be replacing it with?

As I told you Luke, I had similar problems with two of those pedal boxes last year. One of them failed completely! Both replaced with Tiltons and no problems since!

Link to the topspeed run, which I havent updated in here as yet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79-CJ...2&feature=plcp

Update time..

It was time to bin off the OBP Pedal box and replace with something a little more robust and upto the job of effectivley stopping the car.

I had a good look around and was undecided on the AP pedal box or the Tilton pedal box. Secondly do I go floor mount or bulkhead mounted sing style box.

I opted in the end for the swing style pedal box in the Tilton range as I feel it can be braced better ( less flex) and also a longer pedal can give a better ratio.

Top guys at Competition Supplies http://www.competitionsupplies.com/ sorted this for me aswell as some help from Will Pedley on cylinder sizes to start with.

Next step is to fabricate a steel box to mount the box into which will then be mounted under the bulkhead.

so far..... pedal box with the stumpy cylinders.

Have removed the dash also which will be changed for a revised option.
Im going to use Raj from Autoflock for this work as I have been suitably impressed with his work of late.

To be honest I can't believe you fitted that pedal box to start with Luca, just by looking at it you can tell its weak and poorly designed
