Liking the mounts for the fuel tank, i have the same tank and was thinking how to mount it in my nova with the wonkyest floor on the planet, i have the tray mount but i take it the stilts came from pro alloy?

I had a good mate make this for me, but im sure the lads at Pro Alloy can make this style for you. Just drop them a drawing and they will sort you out

Well your right there mate, I had just finished it or at least to a spec that was drivable. There was always going to be changes as the car developed etc . The oil pump failure however changed all of that and has now given me the chance to change areas that I was not orginally happy with.

So here we are again... back in the garage most nights

TBH im still looking into spec of engines. The old engine was pretty much spot on to be fair, so I just want to build on that spec and have make sure nothing fails.
Dry sump will fitted and looking into external wastegaste and possibly solid lifter head.

Will be looking into this further over the coming weeks, for now the inside and engine bay need to be dressed ready for the engine to be dropped in.

 

do they sell a dry sump for front wheel drive? i was reading someones thread on here who modded a rwd one as were told they dont make them?

 

Both Pace and Titan do a kit that relocates the pump body to the opposite side. Yet to have this kit in my hand, but im aware that the only issue will be the alternator, that will need raising or moving.
Nothing that cant be fixed with some fabrication.

 

Really struggled to find time lately to get cracking on this but I have been busy with collecting parts.

Where to start I relly dont know, apart from the intial dissapointment of not being able to join with freinds etc on track this year, its giving the motivation to crack on.

Fuel cell is in as early pictures and then was onto the plumbing of the lil lot. I opted to go for the earls anotuff fittings in black and wanted to fit some inline filters pre and post pump. These arrived and unfortuantly didnt come with any brackets, really didnt want to use the obligatry cable tie this time.

I contacted "Monster" and handed the plans and dimensions... it goes a little like this....



Sizes of the pieces and the objective to mount filters to floor.

With in literally a day i received an image of them made and asking what colour to be anodised..



Along with the bosch fuel bracket it should all bolt up securely,



Just arranging the layout at the moment and what angled fittings are needed etc.

The carbon theme continues also such a sucker for this stuff now.

Rear door cards tidy up the gaping hole that was there previously

Wiring has now been hidden as much as possible without going to crazy. Few items have been tarted up and any non load bearing areas fitted with black anodised alloy bolts.

1- it cost a bloody fortune to have chromed
2- Im worried it will all look black and white so the odd bit of bling will appear.

Gutted you painted the allen key bolts on the suspension turrets, you'll start crying again when you chip the paint when adjusting them

Well the turbo has arrived at Turbo Dynamics for inspection to see if all is well……

Fingers crossed folks I sooo cant be asssed to pay out on a new one.

Todays updates


Few pics from today where I carried on with the mission of fuel lines.



Bulkhead fittings into the engine bay, and the plastic clips that will attach the lines to the chassis via cable tie.
I opted not to use P-clips for ease of removal and adjustments if needed in the future.

Fuel filter bracket I had made and was machined beautifully by a mate :Q



Wiring loom is going back in and being clipped in as I go Fuel pump loom check!





Then the big task the fuel cell itself and the return lines.

 

that looks really nice luke reading this is giving me motavation to start building my mk3 now, are you going to use a silver top or black top engine?
