Universal kit so you do need to make lines and mounting points etc.
Looking at going for a floor mounted item this time as space was a litte light on the bulkhead with the inlet set up I run.

Where to start well I guess from the idea and reasoning to why the hell I decided to strip the car to nothing more than a Rolling shell.
Yes afer the slightly dissapointing news of the engine last week, upon removal of the engine I decided to have the engine bay freshend up.
Main reason being that onced the engine was fitted last year I decided last minute to have some eccentric adjusable top mounts fitted..
This meant out with the grinder and the welder then a brush and some paint. Not the best approach but it looked acceptable.
With engine out it was time to have this painted nicely, then I thought well the roll cage was welded also after I had the inside originally painted.
The evolution of the car was moving ahead and no time to paint, again this be the time to paint the inside too!.
Then I kinda got carried away and thought, well remove the sound deadening while im at it so we then have the issue COLOUR?????
After going to Classic Ford show and seeing Gus's imacclutaley built S1 Escort I after speaking with the old chap on colour used, to follow along this line on mine.
Lighter "motorsport" themed interior. Bt Grey was therefore going to be the new colour.
So today saw me at Anson Autos where my mate Mark was kind enough to work the day on the Fes and get it looking tip top!.
Upon arrival this morning at 8 o clock.
The masking task begun, which believe me after 2 hours seriously started to bore the shite out of me..
Once we had masked 90% of the shell it was time to push into the spray booth and warm things up a little. We finished masking and then began to degrease and panel wipe the car ready for the BT Grey paint.
This is when the day changed for the better I think - well lets see if you agree after
I last minute panicked and decided to maybe change the colour :-? :-? :-?
Not something I had planned to so I can tell you!.!
A few phonecalls later and we decided to go for Ford Frozen white
WHAT WAS I THINKING! :-?
How the hell this actually turns into white is beyond me :-?
A quick stir and woop wooop we have some frozen white :Q
Tech term slips my mind but this is the first bit of paint applied.
Naturally I was there for moral support and considering we spent 7 hours doing it
and applied in total 2 1/2 litres of paint :Q The gloss is awesome. :Q
Painted and pictures straight after a 20min bake at 60degrees
Outisde shot to see the colour in daylight
Over the moon with the finish and am sooo looking forward to the next stages of the build.
Im fooked now though great day and BIG BIG THANKS to all those that assisted in transportation, advice and hard graft over the past week and today. :aviator:
