Cheers Paul!
AS for the trolly.......its ACE! I got it from Santa when I was about 9. Used it about 5 times and it just sat in the garage until one day whilst building the XR for the first time, I used it............best engine mover ever!
You can steer it round corners, etc, by simply leaning over, as you would if you used the board correctly. I'm infamous amongst friends with that board. lol!

Not much progress!!!!!! Well, what I mean is that she should have been finished by now!!!!! Just been so god damn busy with other things and by the time I get out in the garage, I'm scuttering about with tiny issues......or should I say challenges!
Anyway, here's the whole 10 pics I have!
New brake shoes, since the old ones were loose the bonding between the metal and fibres.
Pump fitted up and tested (the tank is now up)
The springs given a Hammerite Blue dusting.
Engine bay..
Inside
Now for the issues/challenges I have at the moment......
1) Choice of alternators, brackets and belts. These are the two that I have at the moment. Both XR & RST alternators too.
2) Can't find or get a fuel filter banjo nut (the large one) Anyone know where I can get one? My friendly Ford (cough, cough) dealer says that that nut is de-used!
3) Turbo oil feed fitting - I got one from a local hydraulics company on Sat. Just need to trial fit it and hope that the Turbo end is a 1/8" NPT!!!!! I got it FOC, so don't want to ask for another!
4) Can't find the bracket for inside the door to support the wing mirror - may make one though.
5) Make a nice contained air box, now that there's lots of left over room.
6) Make a nice pod in the stereo hole for the boost gauge (need 2 more gauges to get them in there too)

Sorry lads/lasses, but I was in Houston for Oct to Dec last year, then my missus sold the house whilst I was there, so we moved. The XR2 has unfortunatly been sitting on a trailer since Feb as the house has taken my life over at the minute.
Getting married in Aug too, so won't have the time to touch the XR till probably next year once the house is sorted.
