YES!! Finally work has begun!!....
Decided to do a bit last weekend as the weather was nice so got the axel stands out and got the b-hatch in the air to find this is what it looked like....
As you can see it doesnt look to tidy under there at the minute and on first inspecion i was very suprised on how horrible and migning it looked but Diva re-assured me that with a bit of work it could be made to look tidy again...
So off we set with the trusty buzz gun and started to take the rear axel off...15 minutes later and plonk...on the floor....
Once that was off it was time to take the fuel pump cradle off as 1) it was fucked and 2) it was yellow
While we was stripping things off we thought we might aswell do it properly so the next thing to come off is the fuel tank...I hope you can still buy these otherwise i will be properly fucked!
Now that the back end was fully stripped we got underneath and had a mooch round to see that it was still pretty minging... So off Diva goes and gets Mr Snap On gasket scraper and 20 minutes later all the shit was scraped off and it looked a hell of a lot better! There doesnt seem to be any holes anywhere so is all pretty solid! ....
And thats where we left it....The plan is to get all the shit and crap off underneath and make sure it is solid...Then paint it so it looks properly bufty!
So thats it for one day guys...It looks like it could turn into a massive bufty project now but will be worth it in the end
