It all depends on wether it's worth it for you mate...

I'm about to start restoring my mk2 XR2. For the money it's gonna end up costing me I could just by a saph cossie or mint erst. But when it's all done and finished it will be my car and i can drive around in it knowing that i built it.

Hope you work out what you want to do with it.

Cheers

Stu.

Mines not restored or anything, in perfect form with low miles are lovely cars, and they run lovely. They are really a nice car i think so anyway.
here's mine

get yours to look like this and you've got a good car.
This attracts attension everywhere it goes from all age range's.
Id get one. Don't buy a rotter though, rust is rife in em.

There are still plenty of 'good' 2i's about that are worth restoring, I wouldn't bother trying to save a real shabby one.
However, an RS1800 is always worth it.
