awrite folks.got a good bit done today.got up at half 8 and straight up to garage and put the heater on cos it was freezing.got a new wire brush piece like red16 showed earlier and by god it made an awfa differance.my main aim is to get the arches to bare metal as the underseal is so thick on them its unbelievable.couple of hours later and ive got one totally bare and more underneath done.all going well until bang....ouch.drill grips on to the body and slams my finger against jaggy edge.more blood lost and am stoppin for the day.will be back tommorrow tho with more underseal off.applied some primer with the heater on and it tane well as the garage was very warm.gona get the rest of the floor and arches underseal less and then start painting for real.woohoo.cant wait to start puttng things on

started again today at 9am,didnt hav a heater as gas had ran out so i was bloody freezing.got gloves for today and got to admit i havnt cut maself so al be wearin them for now on plan for the day was to get the other arch clean.manage to get most of it done till the drill packed in.gears broke inside.so i decided to take any bits i had missed underneath.few brake lines and handbrake cable.tane the fuel tank and brakes to get powder coated aswell but they cant do the calipers cos of the seals so al hav to paint them myself.gona use ma dads drill tommorrow now.plan is to get all the underseal off by friday.i thot i would hav it primered but this underseal has been a pain to come off.ordered my stainless fuel lines and gettin a stainless fuel pump carrier from as autos.bling bling

heres the other arch until the drill gave up the ghost

all the remaining parts off from underneath

konis hav cleaned up well, will get them a bit cleaner tho

fuel tank before it gets powder coated, will get photos up when it done

awrite folks.first of all thanks for the comments and support.got a good bit done today, most of the underseal is of from underneath thank god, both arches got the treatment today,i found a weld in the drivers arch so a got to play with the filler and blend it in to the arch so it doesnt ruin the look.i found a bit the needs weldind, just a very small patch.woohoo i get to play with the welder......get the fire extinguishers ready .will get it looking as if its never been welded by the time am by an will get the photos posted up of the small repair.nearly ready to start priming underneath for real

heres the weld i found in the arch, smoothing it in so it unnoticable.

like blue peter heres on i made earlier

other arch.smoothin in a wee ridge in the arch

started removing underseal from the front.nearly got it done now

spent today gettin all prep work done.both arches getting the treatment.passenger arch is looking good, aint happy with drivers arch so gona smooth it aff some more.didnt hav the digital camera till a had done ma repairs so dont get to show yous what a done so a will explain.welded in a small plate and then went over it with filler, gota wait till its hard and then smooth it down so you wouldnt even know a welded,a sound as if a know what am doing but beleave me av never done this before.got some petrol today aswell and put it on a rag and went over all of underneath to remove all exess dirt a mite hav missed.made underneath even cleaner.
think am gona take engine out once av done underneath and do a front resto.mite aswell do it rite.

passenger arch

repair underneath.got wait till it hardens and then smooth it down

drivers side arch.still not happy with it.
