Hi Mate
I am not modding the engine at all too exspensive to tune for the sake of 40 bhp not worth it IMHO , I would rather have good brakes and suspension /handling rather than engine power
Just because some peeps have a fast engine donesn't mean to say the car is quick around a a track but in a straight line then yes engine power is whats needed track isn't about how fast your engine is to an extent

Hi Marco, new track car looks cool .I agree 110% about youre approach to a good track car, good brakes and handling.Youre comment about people with fast engines dont necessarily go around a track quick is very true.At Nat Day last year I passed a load of Cossie's,and I know for a fact the least powerfull one's had 120 BHP more than my "beantin"!!! Think you'll do the same mate .Regards Micky

why, well because of the cost , i can't justify spending Ł1500 on the engine to get 40/50 bhp seriously not worth it , i have been told that the engine is pretty strong as standard and hopefully i wont blow it up

hows it going , what did you think of the slicks ??
genaral conversation !!! it's not all about power it's a whole package brakes/suspension/tyres
i look at it this way why buy normal coilovers for 500+ that wont last 6 months on a circuit before they leak/bend or fail and with the Bilsteins (racing ones) all they have cost me for the front and rear Ł650 for quality and they will last a hell of a long time and the re-sale valve is still pretty high you will always get your money back
Dencent Brakes/Discs/Pads/brake fuild is a must on a car and more than anything else "shite" brakes/pads/discs /Brake fluid = 3 laps it's all over forget about it the brakes will be dead
slick tyres is everything aswell forget the road tyres all they are good for is the road and thats it
if you have these ingredients you won't be doing to bad on a circuit at all
I have a budget of 2.5k thats all i have got to spend on it so chassis was more important than an engine

Marco those Bilstiens look the nuts, same spec as Im looking for on a 2wd sapphire, rose joints and track specific, struggling for a decent price from an off the shelf set are these readily available or are you "in the know"
