I've got myself a mk3 fiesta and I don't like the stupid black bumpers/valances and want them colour coded.

How would i go about this?

I've visited one spray shop and they said because of the age of the bumper its most likely to of had Back to Black on them and for this reason the paint will not stick and flake off over time. I haven't had a chance to visit anywhere else for opinions so I decided to come here!
Are they right?

They gave me a quote of £100 a bumper.
