Escort S2 RWD Mid Engine rebuild (Pic update 23-6-07) Page6
Hello,
Don't post much but thought i would show you my project
Got this motor about 8 months ago to use as a track/hill climb car.
Some of you will know it...
But it needed afew things sorting out.
After pulling the seats and carpet out i found some rust and holes... oooooo
Time for the grinder....
New metal..
And in the back
Bit of a rusty front
Out with the grinder again
The new bit
Tacked in place
Time for the home made roll cage
The back
The front
Door bars
Finished
Few patches on the arches
Time for some undercoat
Now for some white
Thats as far as ive got at the mo... will be painting the front end this weekend...
let me know what you guys think!!!!!
Nath

Awesome project mate, but I would seriously consider doing something about air flow to the I/C. It may look a bit cack but you could roof mount it a la RS200 or duct something up from underneath.

CheeRS for the kind coments guys
The standard I/C was just used to make the engine run, I did think about putting one on the roof but i wanted to try and keep it looking as standard as i can.
So ive got a cossie 4x4 I/C and a mate is welding a jacket around it so i can use it as a charge cooler.
These are the videos BEFORE i got it......

Looks good...
are you sure where the loading fron the rear end are going though, as they don't
look like they're definitely going into the cage?
I'm also presuming you'll be putting some kind of firewall in.. wouldn't want to be in there if something went wrong without one (which I'm sure it won't!) !
