Following on from the PE thread in General Discussion (for those that don't go over that way!!).......
Here are the graphs from my 2 set's of Power Runs that were both done this week. There were no changes made to the set-up of the car leading up to or between these 2 runs. The car is exactly as it was at Brunters in November. Sorry about the Digi photo's of the graphs!!
First, SCA in Norwich........
It is clear from this run that the car lost traction as it peaked in boost, hence the high peak Torque figure. However, once it regained traction, the remainder of the run is smooth and as expected.
289.1bhp at the wheels.
and I would estimate a more believable peak of 290lb/ft of Torque and around 275lb/ft Torque at 6000rpm.
Next, todays run at Power Engineering.......
The only really odd thing about that run is the RPM point at which peak power was achieved. My car rev's to 7000rpm and it clearly hit the limiter. However, if you stand back and analyse both sets of figures, they are actually remarkably close.
So, overall I am over the moon with the results. Comfortably into the 300bhp bracket on a standard Crank, standard Head Gasket and standard Cast Exhaust Manifold.
Chris at PE commented that he thought that it would benefit from more advance at the top. This was mainly due to the fact that the Exhaust Manifold around the collector was practically transparent by the end of the run. More advance would have most likely increased the power slightly. Personally, I think it needs a Tubular Manifold.

1. I bet its FOOOOKING expensive
2. It relocates the Turbo
So, I can't see it being for me. I really aren't up for a whole load more development work and relocating the turbo would mean alot of other things to consider, like a different Filter, the Downpipe would want drastically altering, there would be a whole lot of Heat management to do etc. etc.
I just can't bring myself to pay so much for a Manifold, you should see the 200SX ones that are now around (or even under) the Ł200 mark.
If only I had a pattern manifold and enough demand, because I have the scope/contacts to have a manifold reproduced and therefore DRASTICALLY reduce the price.
However, I will wait and see how the review unfolds.

I know for a fact it's not cheap! - I know the guy who owns PD and have been offered a setup at a reduced price, but it's still big money (Mind you that is a turbo + manifold combo iirc) TBH, I don't know any details on it however and as it's not a major concern for me at the moment I don't need to persue it. Will be a good read none the less

CheeRS Guys.
LOL @ Steve!!! I remember those days too. TOTB (the first year) etc, even before that.
This year will be the year of the Video clip for me as I have a Camcorder and mount for it!!
So, any requests?? (No, I cannot see Ms B letting me Video her doing a Top Speed run in just her skimpies )

Well come on then, lets have an update
I was thinking to myself the other day its gone a bit quiet on the C&B RST front. Its not like you not to have some new idea for another 10 bhp from the ol' CVH
