Default MRMSpeedShop's Escort Cosworth M666 ESC

I have finally taken the plunge and bought myself an Escos seeing as the prices are starting to become astronomical now... I was on the look for an Auralis Blue one and was coming up blank and then remembered a friend owns one and hasn't moved jn a couple years under cover in his RS collection, so made him an offer and he accepted.

Auralis Blue Small Turbo model not to bastatdised either.

Nice spec... Azev As, big APs up front.. KONIs etc Engine I'm estimating is only around 330bhp atm as has TT Turbo and Chiped ECU but once I get a good enough time I'll pull apart and give good health check I'd like to get it to 360/360 and I'll be happy with that. I've another RS Road car at 500BHP so don't want Escos to be chasing numbers.

Some pics.. Only a few atm but lots planned.

I've started collecting lots of parts already and mainly carbon fibre...

Bonnet Vents
Timing Belt Cover
WOLF Rear spioler

Owh and the biggest thing which seems to have upset some Ford owners already lol wheels

I've gone for Granada 4x4 hubs 5x112 PCD

So I can run these wheels.. Fifteen52s

19x9.5

Had a rendering completed as I'm not getting wheels on for few months yet as still collecting parts...

I've got a big order in with Mike Rainbird Motorsport for some more goodies so will have them to add soon.

Thanks, this is one of my dream cars and I have a vision for what it'll be won't be to others tastes but as long as its to mine.

Yeah they'll be loads Im expecting wont like them because they're not comps or RL7s or the usual cossie wheels lol

A mate of mine saw the spoiler for sale and tagged me as he knew I was searching for one, R&B Motorsport is also looking to produce them soon though.

Thanks man yeah I nearly never bought a cossie as over the last 5 years or even more they've bored me to death and when I see one at a show I just got to point I wouldn't even look at it as same old same old.

I always modify my cars to my tastes and always get haters so I decided to do the same with my cossie.

The last time I saw a mod on a cossie that made my jaw drop was 18" cossie wheels at Ford Fair one year on a red escos when they were 1sr released but I've gone from being jaw dropped to being sick of the sight of them lol

Oppliger Motorsport also said they'd be making some more later in year but Mike Rainbird is obvs British and would rather give him the business.

I wouldn't delete my wale tale tho personally as that what Escos has always been for me, big arse end with tale.

Thanks mate appreciated and yeh that's the thing, I csnt handle standard I've always made my cars my own.

My Jaguar is the most disliked Jaguar by the Jaguar owned groups lol but to me and many others it's great.

Usually only the pure blooded OCs that I upset.

Thanks bud

I managed to pick up the Granada 4x4 hubs front and rear. But ai dropped them off at unit so not here atm on lock down

I did also have some spacers arrive and 75mm studs for making spacing correct will have to run them up on lathe to open up CB one mill.

Ignore the air bags there for another one of my builds

Well the wife talked me into it so I got her out of hibernation and on the road yesterday and straight to a car meet never even had time to wash clean her lol

Drives really well, pulls well and just really happy with the engine but I've got a massive to do list already before I even start the mods... Loads of niggly bits.

Thanks lads was good to get her out but frustrating that I want to do so much to her.

A mate of mine has a blasting set up and next door to him does the plating.

I've ordered and should be here Monday...

Adjustable TCAs
Powerflex Yellow outer TCA bushes
Powerflex Black ARB bushes
Standard New Top Mount Bushes

As I want to firm up the front and fix the wobble as it wasnt bearing when checked. But as fitting GAZ Golds didn't want it to drive like a track car.

Also arrived is my Pro Alloy mirror tank oil seperator, dropping to powder coater tomorrow to match all the bailey tanks I've done in black.

Next week I'm making a start in fitting all hubs and wheels with all new parts as I've decided to just crack in with it now she's all road legal.

Had a day today!

Took new wheels in boxes to have new tyres on and the fitted fucked the paint on the centres of my wheels chipping paint off with threads on balancer absolute wankers.

Theyre paying got repair apparently and I've dropped wheels to Speedwells Sollihul.

Good news is parts should be here Monday

Hey Kev, glad to see progress still on this, I saw about the wheel on facebook hopefully they pay out to fix them.

Out of interest whats the going rate for each airbag now, its something I would like to do on a car in the future.

Yeah mate another ball ache caused by morons still waiting for Speedwells to do the repair which is taking ages now too
the boss of the depot is paying for the repairs to wheels tho so spose thats one thing

air bags vary massively mate from a 700 for 4 to thousands it really depends on the car the style of bag needed and weight etc
