Squint just cut the whole front end off another escort and welded it all in. So it had the TCAs, AR bar etc .Just on the rear.

As with all projects

K.I.S.S.

Good Luck, keep us updated.

Dave, the rear engined car was faaaaaaaaaaaaar from being road legal.

even tills reply will tell u that.

and Squint made a rear engined CVH turbo charged 106 for his friend Adam.

i have some piccys from Ultimate street car (and they are all lightweights when it comes to drinking)

few piccys from usc...........

waiting to run

Adam being ugly after changing the clutch as he proper fucked it running on the friday

Saw the pickup and always wondered! Great track day toy, pity about the work involved to get it properly on the road!

106, shit the bed!! Was it quick before the clutch went?

it was actually on the road in June/July.

Adam only killed the clutch through his love of spinning the rear wheels warming the tyres up for his runs

ADSRST,

Hi,

I did this to my S2 a short while ago.

Believe me mate, cut your losses and stop now.
After spending around £10,000 on the car the DVLA condemed it.
The whole car was built on a one off jig to ensure it was all welded straight and every thing.
I used 2No 2.1ZVH engines both with Mondeo MTX75 gearboxes (with Cable gear change and hydraulic clutch for easier set up).

They claim that because the car was a one off they would not know how it would react in a crash and condemed it from road use.

I was gutted. I spent nearly 2 years building it and all for nothing.

If you just want a track car then great carry on.
If you want road use, forget about it.
Buy a standard one.

Sorry to break the news mate.

Matt.

I'll try and get some photos put on to CD and down load them of my twin engined S2.
