My wifes 53 reg 1.6 16v focus was rotton around the rear wheel wells. I was shocked to see this on a newer ford.

Once underside was clean and rust treatment was applied left it for a day to dry ready for some paint didnt go down the route of spraying painting went for a brushable paint as its less hassle and time so bought some rustoleun combi colour paint which has a rust prevent agent in it and primer and top coat in one.

will be pumping waxoil throughout the chassis when finished but the car wont be used in rain and will be off the road for the winter.

Thanks mate. I've found a link. I've just bought a load of Bilt Hamber stuff similar but not all in one. It'll certainly hold its value at the very least.

Search in general car related. Fartblood listed the recipe for a wax oil style home made product.

good examples will always command good money and all sporting fords will rise, the higher spec ones will always be the most desirable which is the norm for all fords really in the modern post 2000 era

There was only some surface rust which was sanded back to bare metal so just painted some hammerite rust treatment on but the paint used also has rust prevent agent in it.

This is going to be lovely when finished. Did you brush on the coating on the underside or buy the rattle cans?
