Also blueprinted CVH is in full swing.. Andrew @ AL developments spent all day getting the rings all perfect.

 

Nobody wants a sloppy ring!!! Gaz at GR did the same with my build. You're going to be hooning about before you know it.

Spoke to Andrew at A.L developments today because I had forgot to provide big end bearings and crank seal housing...and he was also telling me about the blue printing process of what hes done so far and that before he starts on the engine he heats the work shop to the required temp so everything is bang on.. I never knew blue printing was such an acute job ... here's another few pictures..also brakes are ready for painting and fitting Saturday .

 

That's going the extra mile! Gaz built mine in his kitchen, hopefully that was warm enough

 

You'll be lucky they don't pay the gas bill in Rotherham ive heard .. personally I wouldn't worry .

 

You're not kidding. I know a lad that has turned his gas meter round. He just fobs them off when they try to fit a smart one.

Me too mate Sheffield born and Sheffield bred strong in all and thick in head. We never had Gas though we used to set fire to a hedgehog and let it run round the room to warm it up.

 

 

Went up to the car yesterday and fitted the 343mm AP racing brakes and stud and Nut conversion. Car needs a proper detail as its now got swirls and muck from storage for the last 11 months .

Brakes look great
Wheels bolt straight over them? Will you use spacers?
What wheel nuts you using?

 

Fit perfect... not sure what nuts ..came with the kit .

 

It looks spot on with them brakes behind them wheels! She will stop proper as well

I’ve the 330 4 pots on my saff they certainly work well on the road

Yea it runs ...new build CVH ..just waiting for the new forged CVH

 

I was just looking at the spring in the picture, it looks coil bound. I.e. Coils fully compressed.

Last 2 bits I over looked and Andrew needs them asap to finish the build ..so there getting sent in the morning ..

 

Been up to whip the intercooler off etc ..and start cleaning everything up ready for the new engine drop ..new ally rad in black is going on tomorrow so I'm prepping and painting the IC satin black tonight also .

 

Tonight I'm going to clean up and paint the IC satin black to match the radtec radiator ..im liking the size of the pace rs500 style cooler its quite a big item and single pass ..im told there a good cooler ..hopefully see when 2bar is thrown at it lol ::

 

Sorted all ready to clean car up and fit back.

 

Matt, what did you paint the rad with?

 

It was degreased with IPA at 18% then warmed up to 25c and then etch primed x2 coats ..then x2 coats of satin black and the heat knocked off and left to cure .
