So since being back doing a bit with the MOD and being back serving I made arrangements to have the down pipe bracket re done at a company on the ind est opposite camp , they have done a very good professional job ...
First on camp this morning in the wet stuff .
And now back home, cleaned and dried.

Well Saturday I decided to take the boy on a road trip to colwyn Bay zoo .it turned out a very good day and completed after a few detours 170 miles,
When i Got back home i thought I'd go for a heavy boost park the car up let it idle with bonnet up for 5 mins and check my heat management out .. so say I'm impressed is an understatement .
And what do kids do best 10 mins into a road trip

F**king mint pal, and well used too, love the manifold, turbo relocation etc, standard turbo placement is to close to the rad for me especially with a full frontal intercooler restricting airflow to rad.

Well got to Motorsport development's early Monday morning with my brand new 4bar map sensor , to find out it was broke , so I made the decision that I would be happy for the car to be back at around 300 with the fueling set up properly now ive fixed the fuel restriction.. so off it goes over to the rollers and for some bizarre reason at the time wouldn't give us anymore than 11psi ..after 9hrs of fault finding and nearly 6pm we get boost and the 3 pot cal switch back to how it was , the lads at MSD stu ,Lewis, Kenny absolutely went far and beyond all day and then as they should have been closing up said , get the dominoes in and let's give her some boost ..any how at 21.30pm im in the dyno cell to the sound of 305bhp at 23.58psi (24psi) .. ive been advised to put a new coil pack on also amongst a couple of other jobs only small things ..re mount mac valve and 3bar map sensor .
The drive home was interesting through a big thunder storm..but we did get a good test in the dry and it is ballastic ..putting all 305bhp down in a straight line with no wheel spin or torque steer .
Massive thanks to stu , Lewis, Kenny and the staff that kept us topped up with brews all day ..and mark knight who was at the end of the phone from Turkey whilst on holiday ..cant thank them enough .
Few pics and vids not the best but youll sort of get the idea .
And a little boost and short shifting due to coil pack .
private road with thunder .

List of job I want to do now after I've had some family time .
New coil pack .
Sort the ARB out and set geometry
New front lights ,
a bit of paint , mainly bumpers and spoiler.
Re mount Mac valve and map sensor to a more accessible area .
Get the shift light and Mil light working .
Re design the breather system to one that returns to sump .

wow mate some amazing updates here just been back to june and read through.
Its amazing what has been done and huge congrats on reaching your goal that was put together over a few pints with your old mate Gus.
The lads at MSD certainly went above and beyond as you say and they will 100% be the guys to map mine on simtek when the time comes
I bet there isnt if any rs turbos with 300bhp that put every bit of power down and in a straight line, christ mine doesnt with around 200ish
Nice little list of jobs which im sure will be rattled off quick time when you get onto them.

Well little update .. ive been having oil surge problems in the bends at high speed and triggering the limp home strategies ..so ive decided to have a bespoke sump done and a new breather that returns to the sump but under the oil line .. today ive put new oil and filter on and new coil pack .
The weekend saw me drive over 200miles to see family and friends back home , me and the little one had a road trip .

Saturday i went over to Mark knights for him to look at my rev light and MIL and oil temp all wiring up and set up with the ECU , he also took a look at a limp/cut I'd developed and after some pulls and data and head scratching he finally sorted it , it now flies again and no more cuts , not even hard cornering , thanks mate was a really good day and I enjoyed valeting his wifes car .

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Fantastic build! I have watched this one for quite some time.
A few questions for you:
What rpm does boost start happening in 2nd gear?
Also what size wheels and tires?
In Canada those Raceline? wheels are impossible to find.
Cheers

had the pleasure of being taken for a ride shotgun in this monster last weekend.
absolutely unreal, seems like next to no turbo lag, boosting well before 3k, zero wheelspin, piles the speed on like you wouldnt believe and handles like its on rails as demonstrated by Mat Mcrae on the roads of wrexico
an amazing job from top to bottom and massive respect to all involved, the days of all or nothing lag monster 300+bhp cvh engined rs turbos are over
