Going to get the last little jobs done tonight ..engine mount to Mod and see why my clutch is smelling when I reverse it out or in the garage..I've a feeling I've not adjusted the gearbox folk arm right as my last arm sat further towards the cross member than this one ..so hopefully that .
Brakes I'm just going to leave and see if some mileage will ease them off a little .
This is how they are at the moment with new pads in .

only grabbed an hour on it today .. but i'm going through all final checks before MSD on 18th .
all lifter gaps set
Then decided to mount my 4 Pot switch in the speaker selector .
Does anyone know how this comes out ,,I've taken the two screws from under dash but still doesn't want to budge .
Also can you buy a 90 degree fitting for this brake bias valve ?

Getting there mate, won't be long now.
Its been years since I took out the speaker adjustment thing so unfortunately I can't remember how it comes out. I wouldn't have thought it would be much as there ain't much holding the dash in normally

Put it all back together tonight after having a bit of time away from it .
To say I'm happy is an understatement.. its miles Quieter now ..camera doesn't help but it's so QT stood at the side of it and this was cold start..it got even better.. exhaust note even sounds nicer .

Glad you sorted it mate, was looking through the pics and seen you’ve used an aluminium adaptor on your turbo for your oil drain, are you not worried that it might warp with the heat and cause a leak? Just curious.

Ended up taking the clocks out to remove the joy stick and install my variable POT switch .. on taking the clocks out I dropped my mechanical boost gauge and fucked ..
yesterday I started to replace a few bits I wasn't happy with for newer items ,
bought myself a Ifor Williams trailer for taking the escort up to MSD on Tuesday

I remember the pain of trying to find a decent heater controls surround without the tabs behind the dials broken. I had a few in the past including I think it was possibly a nomad one with the triple gauge holder which used to heat the gauges up from the vent
Shame to see the boost gauge damage, try contacting stack and see if they will fix that for you. I'd have thought they would be able to.
I'm still in the collecting stage of bits for the three fords I want in the future. Got nearly everything for a rs turbo I will need, few bits for a 3 door and sapphire but I think the rs turbo is the one i'm most keen to get going. I do like them in red!
