Lightbulb Mk6 Escort Van

Thought I'd get a project up, although I did originally say to myself i wasn't going to do anything to it i've just got the modding bug.

So I picked up this X (2000) reg on Sunday 21st May for a whopping £550. It's a Mk6 Escort with 77,400 on the clock to which I was suprised. drove it all the way back from york with no problems apart from the fact my insurance didn't go out so I was a bit naughty but made it home with no issues and got it sorted the next morning.

Although it's not 100% tidy only a few things need sorting..

1. x2 dents - one in rear door and one on the side.

2. Leak in passenger footwell

3. Handbrake light sticking on

So the first thing was to buy some Fanblades from a Ford Puma got these for a whopping £80.00 and need a refurb which is no bother got a friend to collect them as they were in Lincolnshire and didnt fancy the drive, these will either be Orange or Green, still not decided:

Will be picking these up in June...cant wait. I took led bulbs out of my old car before it got picked up and towed away to it's new owner and threw these in the reverse lights, noticed one of the holders didnt work so got a new one off ebay (£6) and fitted and works and the end result for that is:

I took it for a quick wash after that at the 'locals' and when I came out noticed that half the paint on the bumper was missing, so whoever painted it had done a poor job, so weekend just gone I took it to my cousins who had a pressure washer and finished the job:

Not perfect but its more white than black, possibly might be getting a white bumper with fogs anyway so it'll do for now.

Up on searching ebay for those wheels i also needed side repeaters as the guy had prayed them limo tint black and it's not the look I liked, so I purchased some smoked repeaters which came today and at the same time purhcased a Ford gearknob just to make it look nicer - still awaiting on that, will get photos when fitted.

Sure will Coley, i've got big plans for it (eventually), just like to get these bits done first...think about lowering the back end, and i know these have leaf springs but wouldnt know what I could use to lower it so i'm a bit baffled. thinking of sticking a cherry bomb exhaust just for the LOLs.
