3m sealer in bag ? Any good and how many 250ml bags would I need for Sierra sapphire
Hi just after some advice on 3m sealer the stuff in bag mix how many 250 ml bags would you recommend to do a underneath Sierra sapphire to give factory look coverage ? and would I do just the areas like floor pans and chassis legs with this and normal car colour on other areas like boot floor and tunnel archs etc ? Or what areas should I use this for ? Or would it be better to do the whole lot underneath with 3m Thanks

It's a very good sealer to use for underbody and wheel arch protection, but to do an entire sapphire it will cost a small fortune! You would need at least one bag per arch and a fair few to cover the floor. I would argue it's one of the best products out there so it depends how far you want to go with it.
Don't use it to cover any mounting areas but otherwise I'd use it everywhere else. It's also overpaintable I seem to remember.

Thanks for that just thinking of the best options how much did you use of the raptor stuff and I take it that stuff is good aswell ? Does it go hard or rubbery ? and will it react with anything I've used etch primer on the bare metal and used sikaflex -221 on the seams for seam sealer
Thanks

I used 4 litres of Raptor as well as the 3M stuff, I bought tintable Raptor as I'm not too keen on black floors unless it's a black car. It dries hard but with a rubbery feel to it whereas the 3M stuff is more rubbery if that makes sense.
I doubt it will react with Sikaflex tbh and etch primer is fine or it has been for my application.
Don't forget the 3M stuff is grey so you'll need to factor in over painting.
Ebay is best for both the 3m stuff and the Raptor.
