Hi Lee,
Good to see you again mate and nice to work on the car, its built to a meticulous standard. Very rare to see one restored to such a nice level and still used.
Glad you enjoyed the drive home. Told you it would run 30 on the road, we mapped it at 30 but shootout mode has various limitations to dyno load so boost is often down on the flywheel power runs.
We map at far higher loads during live mapping. I got a great picture of your manifold during the boost loading runs...!

Yes the car goes very well now, it's so smooth, great to see the 30psi on the road as you said it would do, not bad for a shonkey old taxi ey..lol..

Yes indeed Matt, a lot of people I know have gone from this sort of spec to bigger bhp units and quite a few have regretted it. From my discusisons with quite a few owners over the years, they say 380 thereabouts is the ultimate road spec and the power can be transferred to the tarmac with the right parts, tyres etc.
Having had a few 450 to 500bhp cossies, it's always on your mind that you want more though..lol but this comes as a trade off, traction, clutches etc.Of course these obstacles can be overcome, basically it's then how big is your wallet. Beam, diff, clutch, turbo, cams, 200 block long studded, head work, the list goes on and on. I know, I have been there a few times.
I am delighted with it I have to say.

Thanks Matt, yes a nice power for a road car.Trouble is once you have had more as I have with quite a few of my other cossies, you always want more.

A few more jobs done oil and filter change, replaced both steering rack gaitors, re route a few pipes for the boost control. Fit a new set of PIAA sports horns, changed washer bottle sensor, adjusted the backbox slightly and re route temp sender wiring.
Thanks. Lee.
Thanks. Lee.
