yes Glenn, this car use VW engine, here in brazil, most part of mk4 escort use this engine, he was made in epoch of auto latina (WV + Ford) in 1991. Also we have cars WV with engine Ford. I prefer the ford engine, is most economic and in my opnion gives less defect.
