Got your work cut out there mate!? At least now it's getting warmer, with longer days, working outside won't be so bad... What's up with the old shell? Rust?

Good luck with it!

The old shell is fine It need the underside cleaned and painted and a little cleane up hear and there but it's not to bad.

It's a cat d tho so as I was planning on striping and doing all the work thought it would be easier to just swap it to a clean shell.

Lol I did ask them first to keep the peace

One of my neighbours walked out to put the bin out ( first time I met him) and he ended up spending the day stripping her apart

A little update

So yesterday was an exspenceive day out too this lot to be powdercoated

And I payed for the all the wheel bearings and break pipes as well as new oil and filter and hydroulic cluch master cylinder. Was a bit of whack but it's all stuff that needs replacing or doing befor I can start to rebuild.

And today I got the rest of the loom disconnect and pulled up to the fuse box

And the air con box out.

The gear box was removed and cleaned up

The engine is ready to lift out and need to get the loom out and re covered before I can star putting stuff back together

I kneed to source a New fuel tank, heater fans, and ideally I would like to change the glass as my shell has all its original glass and when (if) it is sold on id like to sell it with all its glass

Was the gearbox heavy to lift out.

Powder coating costs a fortune.

Box isnt heavy and as for powder coat its cheap as chips lol. If you wanted a proper job and paint it all now that would cost lots.

No the box is not too bad a skyline one is a lot heavier

I thought the powder coating was a reasonable price I had a lot done. Pluss that was for blasting , undercoating , and 2 layers of paint

I did say I'll pay cash tho lol

So had lots done over the past week but it's all silly stuff so dose no look like much

Iv polly usage all the front tca fitted the car loom abs loom. The engine loom is next. Iv sound proofed the front of the car minus the bulk head. Built the beam up. All the wheel bearings are fitted I just need to colect then from my brother

The bonnet lock is fitted I'm waiting on new loom clips as getting the old ones out is a fucking nightmare

Iv checked the hole car loom and I remove all 3 of the old alarms.

Please please please remove the rear trailing arm bushes and use the GGR ones.

Poly bushes are a massive downgrade over the factory spherical joint bushes. I can promise you 100% your car will handle shit, wander and clunk because of them.

You'll end up hating the car. I have replaced all mine with the GGR bush and they're just far superior. I assure you what I am telling you is the best and only way to do it. There's plenty on here that'll agree.

Just don't want you to build the car to then not like it due to that reason. Whilst stuff is easy to remove I'd seriously suggest doing it and changing them.
