Mk 3 escort 2.0 16v conversion help
Hi all, I am new to the site and looking for some if not a lot of help. I am a (dare to say it) Vauxhall man, I am currently building a calibra turbo and budgeted myself to 10k over 2yrs. I have just had my block rebored, head skimmed, pressure tested and vac tested. Now as everyone knows the 4x4 system is a bit naff and realised how hard it is to find a qrew box(where the hydrolics are replaced with gearing ect) and a new sports tx box will set me back 2k, and would rather put the money else where. I have now been asked by my uncle if I would like to acquire a 55k one owner g reg mk 4 escort and I am very tempted to continue to build my c20let and 6 speed getrag gearbox. And get the best of both worlds.
I seen the link below with the guy who built a c20xe escort van and trying to get in contact with him atm
https://passionford.com/forum/cars-f...g-project.html
Many thanks for any help.

Do you know what shaft combination was used and I take it the gearbox mount was a corsa one modified. Did it look like it fitted in well? And do you have any pics of the other mounts where it was welded in as wil be using a f28.
