Ive been running this Connect for a while now as my daily, low mileage 03 reg and I thought I would give it a bit of a makeover for the summer.

Its a good van engine wise and very solid, it was a painters van from new so quite a few dinks from the load area on the sides and back doors that will need to be sorted once the bodywork starts.

This weekend tho I have flipped the rear axle, fitted shorter rear shocks (65 beetle front shocks) and fitted my new banded steels. 16x9 on the rear and 16x8 on the back and sitting 100mm lower. Tomorrows job is to fit the front struts to get it sitting level then on with the bodywork next week.

Do like the connects, I've driven nearly all the little vans now and connects are definitely the best!

What's the long term plans then?

 

Thanks for the comments, plans for it are just to make it nice , clean and low. Will still be used as a van for my car parts, dog etc. Just fancied making it a bit different!

Got the front end done today and all 4 steels on it for the 1st time, pretty pleased with how its sitting.
