Not sure if this is posted in the right place, but: I'm just finishing off the rebuild of my son's Mk4 Escort van (1988) and need a pair of (manual) window regulators - does anyone know where I can get hold of these please (second hand is fine)? I have the glass but the doors currently have electric windows from an old Orion, but I want to go back to manual. I've tried various breaker websites, but they are mostly idiots who tell you they've got exactly what you need, but in reality they don't. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks.

 

I'll have a look next time I'm over at my mums, as I used to have a pair of mechs from my mk4 XR3i. I probably threw them out years ago though, so don't place all your hopes on me having them

Thanks fella - I guessed I'd posted in the wrong place... you are dead right that the front doors from a 5 door Escort or 4 door Orion are the same, but I think the Orion only came with leccy windows as standard. I'll have a look at those links - thanks again.

 

Well judging by Del's response in your other thread, even if I do have my old one's, they'll be no good to you as my 3i was of course a 3 door, not a 5....
