you sau that now, just wait till you get it back and it'll be like "what car cover should i get?" "what products should i use on this?" "should i rotate the wheels when i take them off for buftying every week?" "who does the best fly spray remover for paint?" etc

and then of course you'll have to work even more overtime in order to be able to afford all the stuff to keep the car clean

Yeh your right mate! When you put your car to someone for work (especially paint and welding) there's nothing better than knowing when you go back to collect it a top job has been done!

So I took the car to work today to fill the inner sills, rear inner arches and rear chassis legs with waxoil and engine oil. I got a long piece of pipe and attached it to my gun then stuck the pipe in the holes in the rear inner arches.

Does anyone know the best way to remove badges without damaging paint work. My RS badge is a mile away from where it should be.

I thought I would take the car to work to doing the waxoiling cause I thought I might as well let the waxoil drip out of the car on works floor rather than my drive lol.

Should look like this. I was thinking about betting a bit of string and push it behind the badge.

Gently hear it up with a hair dryer and carefully peel it off.

Or get tooth floss and kind of saw it off from behind.

There are solutions you can buy to get the residue off.

Or use those heavy duty hand wipes, that gets it off but may leave a bit of scratch mark.

dental floss or cotton thread will get it off Glenn

then pick as much off with your finger nails as you can, then I used windowlene, the pink cream stuff not the vinegar type one

or try panel wipe if you've got any

After having my sills done I filled mine from engine oil mixed with diesel so it would run into all the gaps! Sprayed it into all the holes along the inner sill under the carpet then left it in the workshop it dripped out for days lol.
Then once it stopped driping I did the same with wax oil

I did a bit of work on the car today. I waxoiled all the inner arches then refitted the arch liners. I adjusted the handbrake too.

A few pics after its first wash since I got it back.

LEAVE IT ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't touch it, don't let anyone else touch it, don't pull the badge off with a bit of string or a knife or a blob of butter of a peice of toast, just leave it where it is because you'll only kick yourself in the bollocks if you ruin the paint
