then braced it up and started cutting and fabricating
with the chassis rails getting there i needed an engine to sit between them, being a purist there was only ever going to be one choice. so i made a small cut in the bulkhead and got on with mounting it
then set about filling in the hole that i had made
then made some new strut towers
made a spit out of some engine stands and got the front crossmember mounts finished and some more stich welding
with that done ive moved on to the back end now changed the beam to solid mount
and thats about where im up to at the minute with it hoping to have the axle mounts finished of this weekend

PassionFord Post Whore!!
i like how youve done the engine bay, much better idea than transplanting inner wings/chassis legs like some conversions imo!

Thanks for the comments guys
Got a bit more done.got engine and gearbox back in made a gearbox mount and a prop centre bearing mount, fitted the adjustable bottom arms and compression struts and bought another set of wheels (I'm sticking with these ones) just waiting to sort the cage now so I can mount everything else ( seats , steering etc)

Haven't been on this the last few weeks I bought an xr2 with an rs2000 engine project so been getting that ready (will have to start a thread on that one to) but with that ready for MOT il be back on this again. I did get a few things done before I bought the xr2 though. Rear arches tubbed and arches fitted got the seat mounts done and the cage pretty much finished aswell.
