Got chance of a set of coilovers, cheap
Just don't know if I want any again. They were a nightmare on my type r

Fitted a st170 lower grill today

Its looking good mate but its all the small details that make the whole car 'work' im sure there's still loads to come debadging the front grill and boot lid for example

Bought and fitted some smoked depo rear lights today




then took my old brakes off



And fitted my st170 ones



They only just fit



the brakes are so much better,dont know why ford fitted those stupid hubs to the standard focus

i would also like it lower

Full SS exhaust next with a 4-1 puma manifold? Bluefin or dream science map? 65mm trottle body, etc etc .

How big are the ST170 front discs compared to the standard discs.

Did you have to remove the bumper to fit the lower grill.

The grill just pulls out and the new one clips in
Standard brakes are 260 I think and 170 brakes are 300

fitted one seat today but the bolsters are massive and i dont know if i can live with them daily so i think they are going to be sold on

been busy cleaning it ready for ford fair
it was done 2 days ago
washed with autoglym shampoo(ph neutral)
clayed with smartwax clay and poorboys quick detailer
rewashed
poorboys ssr(complete car)
poorboys nattys paste(twice)
poorboys ex-p sealant(twice)
smartwax dressing for plastic/rubber
turtle wax glass cleaner
hoovered
armour all matt dash wipes for internal plastics

then this afternoon gave it a rinse off with
autoglym shampoo again
poorboys black hole(twice)
poorboys ex-p sealant(twice)
the paintwork now feels smooth as silk
and looks like this

ST170 - Poor fuel consumption, clunky gearbox, less reliable, higher insurance and very little difference in WHP due to transmission losses of the 6 speed box.

In my opinion the ESP is the better car.
