Default more of a good tidy up

got this little xr2i on wednesday and it is very clean but needs a couple of bits doing

as i got it

all day thursday concentrating on the paint finish

here are a few pics of the results

started with snowfoam

then a full machine polish using 3m fast cut on green 3m pad ,followed by fine finish 3m on yellow 3m pad and waxed using autoglym hd wax

here is wax curing

then some nice shiny shots

and a very very clean interior

then friday was mechanical day ,when driving it home felt a bit vague on steering so checked it over to find both bottom wishbones knackered, both front shocks knackered and a worn front wheel bearing :doublesho ,i have now replaced these and had it tracked up and it now drives as nice as it looks :thumb:

spent rest of the day cleaning the engine bay sorry no before shots (forgot) still a couple of little bits to do but deffinately presentable now :thumb:

today was a bit more attention to detail

exhaust after a quick clean the other day

exhaust after a couple of hours cleaning and polishing

and a couple of hours on years of grease and road grime inside door shuts and ended up with this

cheers for reading all comments welcome

As it looks 100% mint bodywise, I'd make this a concourse car if I could

Looks very tidy that! Would go for a set of saph shark tooth wheels, they look good on mk3 fiestas. Paint the rear drums black too!

Take it back too stock would be good!

I bet the underside isnt too bad looking at the bay etc

How many owners it had? If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for it?

cheers guys ,think its loads better with the black ,went for a satin finish rather than gloss black looks much better than the red effort that was on there ,also thought the ford badge would set them off without being too in your face and not look too tacky
