hello david, the rear shock mate is un bolted at the top from the top mount as they are starting to strip the car back down ready for paint, the milk crate is keeping it from hitting the floor .

thanks steven

@ sticky.

this is a photo of seans rally car dominic built,Name: P1000642.jpg
Views: 379
Size: 112.7 KB

i like the idea of the stickers on it the way it makes its way onto the front bumper. only thing is i dont want to copy it . but something along these lines would be nice
i would love some sort of design with mc kay flooring comeing down through the quarter and into the door , i would like mabie black wrighting with say a blue shadow to it or something along them lines , or mabe the side covered at a angle is a nice shade of blue with the white of the car comeing through with a shadow to the wrighting in black . the style of letters used can make it or brake it some times i think .

this is a few of the things i want put on the car some where

mckay flooring ( down sides )
mckay along top of front windscreen

these then where every they look the best

mc neill motor sport

harvey gibbs race engines

any ideas sticky would be great dude , i no you can sort it

thanks steven

sticky, its always been like this as long back as i ever seen his car . i will ask dominic if hes got any just after it was built. other than that we will have to wate to mines painted

sean has graphics also on his bonnet , i will take photos of it to give you a idea .

i dont want to plaster the car if you no what i mean , just take the plane look of it . also the sides haveing stickers around the wheel arches keeps the stone chips away .

thanks steven

Default little up date

Well things have been a little slow of late . But the strip down for paint has begun now .

also baught a few parts ect . Got nice carbon race mirriors
and baught the wrc spec polloycarbonated window kit with driver and pass slider windows ( couldnt believe the price of these bad boys

took the rear spoiler home and the std wing mirriors to start and sort them for paint ect

the spoiler just needs the joints filled ect to make it nice.

i also needed to chop up the old std mirriors so i could use the base as door blanks, i plastic welded them and fiber glass the hole finished with some pon , now ready for a couple of coats of primmer .

more up date soon i hope .

Not made any up dates of late as been flat out working with the rush up to x mass , but martin mc neill has been flat out painting the shell i have been told.

he has prep and painted , under side, wheel arches, engine bay, gage bars, roof and was sorting the floor for paint end of last week and was bonding on the rear quarters as i wanted behind them painted white ( i no thats mad as its not seen )
so shell should be back at the build work shop before x mass holidays so i hope to have a few photos. Doors bonnet and bumpers will be painted aftes shell is taken out of spray bay ..

made a change ref gear box, i have sold mine to a freind, who i will add robbed me blind and i have baught a ffd squential 6 speed thats got handbrake relese, as my 7 speed did not have it fitted , and as i plan to rally after next year i wanted the handbrake relese box..

all suspenion parts are away to be sand blasted and to have a re paint to make look nice and fresh along with drive shafts

dynamics wrc suspenion is away to be made shorter and to have a check over

here is a photo of my spoiler , i done all the prep work on it my self for fun and to get involved with the car in some way my self, i did not paint it how ever. It turned out very good was happy with it.

This image has been resized. Click here to view the full image. The original image is sized 1024x768.

thats all for now till i get phots of shell after x mass holidays the final build up will start, cant wate for 2013 to come to i get to drive it.

thanks steven

hi james hope your well mate , yes paint work looks great very nice shine on her i am very happy with it, i dont just no when car will be finished , all depends on spare money , i have been busy doeing up a old cottage i let out and i have owned as past 15 years its tennant moved out before xmass and i have done the house up from top to bottom, so its used up money i had saved for the fiesta, but end of day house more in portant to get let out again, people moved in there to it on the 27th. got a few things to sort yard to concrete , and shed to go up. then its full steam ahead on the car mate .

thanks steven
