There is more chance of the world ending this year than seeing this 'thing' on the road. ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
I hope you believe in miracles because you are definitely going to need one!
Best of luck though.

(other than PINK, and the oddly modified testarossa capri - aint nothing wrong with those cars! they'd turn my head over your cars that for sure..)
BUT why on earth does everyone ASSUME im trying to copy a 20foot, center-cockpit, jet turbined, and above all - a blokes car - BATMOBILE? looks nothing like a bat mobile, the only thing it DOES relate to is Deathrace 2000 or mad max. but maybe most of you are too young and uninvestigative to remember those?
considering ive built a road legal car regardless of anything else is kind of a leap in the right direction anyway. but yeah clearly, its all THAT BAD isnt it? i should copy most people and GIVE UP shouldnt i?!
hahahahaha. na.

I've been working in the modified car industry for well over 10 years and have only ever come across two, maybe three women who actually 'get it' and know how to make a car look good (not including all the women who get their partners to do it for them). You are further proof of that if you genuinely think any of those Capris are anything other than skonky shitters.

Dear Dan, I don't like those cars myself.
But, to be honest, I like your comment even less.
And remember that *maybe* women who understand and do nice modified cars just don't bother with the "modified car scene". They do it on their own or outside those circles.
And, by the way, ten years is not exactly and enormous amount of time. Perhaps that says something about your age, too.

Dan, I am not a woman.
I will be fixing up and improving my sister's old Mk4 Escort 1.3 CL, for sentimental reasons, so I just don't have a Ford to show (I don't own a Ford - yet).
I have seen a lot of more or less sexist comments in this forum, but at least they were somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
Yes, you did sound harsh, and misplacedly aggressive. And to be honest, there are/were certain ladies around who I am sure could teach all of us more than one thing about cars and about driving (and you in particular about manners, by the way): Pat Moss, Marie-Claude Beaumont, Maria Teresa de Filippis, Lella Lombardi...
Gosh, I wish you met Denise McCluggage one day. She is also a motoring journalist, you know.

I think you're being a tad to PC in regards Dans comments, he's not generalising women. He may have used a pore comparison but you seem to be slightly attacking him now.
Myself being none PC lol This Lucifer V12 bird is obviously off her tit's! mentaly challenged if she believed this car would have been accepted on this forum and highly retarded in her automobile modifying ability.
She should stick to making rock cakes, as the recipe looks more suited to her body filler work.

Minirotty, I was not so much "attacking" Dan as pointing out that he was being rude. I was NOT being politically correct.
My point was - I think most of the demeaning comments here about women or women's ability with cars or Lucifer V12 (even the latest from you) have at least a pinch of humour that takes the edge off them. That was absolutely absent from Dan's statement and that made it, as he himself realised later, harsh.
Dan - see above. (By the way, I suppose you don't consider the late Pat "little known"). Closer to your home I could also have mentioned Christabel Carlisle, Rosemary Smith, Louise Aitken-Walker or, of course, Michèle Mouton.
I feel somewhat bemused that the editor of an English-language motoring magazine has never heard of the – admittedly American – Denise McCluggage, but well, that is my problem. I strongly recommend you read her. Excellent writer and driver.
Sorry to hijack the thread. I suppose that if Dan wants to keep discussing the matter we can do it by private message instead of boring the rest to tears.

i wouldnt worry about it MR Falcon,
many people seem to be forgetting... there are many people that will always come out with the attitude of ;
'ya cant polish a turd.'
but those who are trying to get on with it, will respond in a manner of
'at least you can roll it in glitter and call it Gary'![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
and dusting themselves off and carrying on with whats GOING to be done![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
someone mentioned 'acceptance' somewhere.. well i dont look for acceptance, cos i think its for little girl and boy groups.

oh my... what on earth happened to you during your childhood in order to wind up this way ??? Genuine question, not trying to be funny or anything, I just want to make sure my kids do not have to go through same experience as you did
Best of luck with the build, I'll be keeping a bottle of champagne in the fridge for the the big day.
