Default mk5 cortina cosworth

just though i would share my cortina build i have been doin it since swptember time when i got it but braking my wrist did slow things lol! The car is mk5 gl done 48k from new with plenty of history too back it up. I had it painted by a good friend of mine an it was finished in frozen white which i think is much fresher an brighter then diamond white. The engine i have came from another mate (cossiedrift) out of a saff he broke the engine is freshly built with all new pistons etc so be nice an strong i hope. all comments welcomed good an bad i do as much of the work myself all fabrication an welding.

It was running a 2.3 axle with a Capri LSD but with the 3.44 ratio. Never suffered too bad from tramp but it had solid void bushes and every bush i could replace was. You could get all the bushes springs etc from Rallye Design. Also they did a 280mm vented disc kit for the M16 caliper. I had discs on the rear as well.

Is that a standard cossie Rad you have fitted ?

Hope this helps.

Rallye Design use to do solid nylon void bushes. Every bush i could get in Poly was changed to Poly. You could get all the front bushes in Poly as well.

Only asked about the Rad as i had a cosworth one cut down to fit, but it looks like you have made the chassies wider so you could fit a standard size cossie Rad.

What are you doing fuel tank wise ?
