With a busy final year in school progress had been sadly slow the past 6 months with only really having a few hours max on a Sunday .
Fitted blue carpet from low mileage car and at the same time collected my front and rear seats, still undecided whether to get the cossy recaros upholstered.
Got the side windows fitted by auto glass with new rubbers , also bought a new windscreen which is sat in the garage and will be fitted when the car is built.
Fitted the rear light units with new gaskets bought off eBay, undecided whether to fit the black tinted rear lights, repeaters and indicators...
Fitted and cleaned sunroof.
All wiring loom back in the bay , and labelled.
Speedo , brake and accelerator cable fitted, originals were in good nick do reused.
Fitted cossy light units, still yet to change wiring from base model spec.
Engjne bay nearly complete, just need to refit water bottle , wiper linkage and motor and ENGINE ofcourse.
Fitted the door rubbers , P/S has slight ripple in it but only noticeable up close, still annoying me but !
Fitted both door locks and painted handles
fitted fog, indicator and bumper trim.
Black or orange ?
Sanded down and filled in chunks out of the splitter and re painted it in satin black.
Fitted the splitter to the bumper.
Primed and painted timing belt cover, engine lifting eyes , servo , bonnet lifter, seatbelt rails, rocker cover and engine arms.
Another update next week when I'm at the garage

Also is it worth fitting a 1300 pinto head to my 1600 to raise CR , or is there quite abit of work needed ? Larger valves and so on

Fart of the Purniture
Lovely!
No idea about your head swap!
Just run it as a standard 1.6 until you can insure a bigger engine - but to be honest it'll be a few quid to insure it as it is wont it.
Really love the idea of having the car at your age & then upgrading the engine every two to three years until you end up with a full on YB!
Wish I'd done something like that mate.
It's looking awesome by the way!

Fitted door cards, dash and rear seats
The interior won't be everyone's cup of tea, but its not going to be badged as a cossy so doesn't bother me , thinking about getting a set of black cossy leather and ghia rear leather

PassionFord Regular
I like them but wont 15@s look too small? A sierra's quite a large car, would look better on 17's imo. But they are very nice
Oh and great work so far.
