I done the conversion and ended up gutting the puma for bit and ended up with the hole car loom put in to a fiesta zt s , wouldn't have even bothered if I didn't have a donar car , that was over a year ago and it's been prob free ( touch wood) I am now considering selling the car now.

you will need to change the yellow ring. as it is coded to the puma ecu.

its an easy conversion if you have the same year puma and a zetec fiesta. there was a step by step guide in fast ford not too long ago.

pretty sure from past pumas the ring is not coded to anything its just a sensor, as long as the loom is right for the ecu and chip then it will work.

+1. Done this conversion a couple of times. The ring isn't coded, that's just the sensor for the transponder. All you will need is the key chip to match the ecu.

As for the mix/match loom it really is more hassle than it's worth. You could buy the correct ecu and engine loom for your vehicle for about £100.

I've heard if someone getting a conversion running in the same position as u, but the digi dash never worked as the ecu couldn't control it.

Think....buy the right bit and it's plug and play

Matt
