right went to bodyshop yesterday unfortuantly i couldnt get the roll bar done due to the bodyshop closing early so that will be nxt week

they have done a few repairs thats it ill get some pics later

but they now said it will be the end of april when the car will be finished and ready for me to collect

talk about laid back

right little update

big thanks to brom @ zoo motorsport cam e and welded the brackets on for the remote anit roll bar and took some pics for me due to me not being able to get down to the car

i dont think it will be at a show this year due to me changing my engine spec again

going sum stupid power now

going to the body shop o thursday to see how there getting on

last time i spoke to them they said they havent touched it for 3weeks

so going to be kicking them up the arse

still doing my 3i turbo engine in two weeks then that will be up for sale

want another silver cos for the summer

will update shortly

and again they said they havnt done much

so glad im not in a rush doing it

but as soon as i hear soom news i will update

im getting a mk4 cabby tomorrow that needs work so will be posting that up as im doing it myself like my black 3i also turbo the cabs as i have full running gear

right just had to go pick the car up due to the bodyshop going bust

the worst thing was that they done one so all cars in there got scraped

my mate lost his series 1 and mine was nxt in line

lucky i got there and its safely at home

so on the hunt now for the 3rd bodyshop once my escorts are done



but if i get hold of the bodyshop people they will be paying as ive lost my deposit and my paint aswell

yes my mates s1 got scraped

it was there for a full restoration had 1.9 turbo in it, esc cos rims the lot

he went down there yesterday morning only to find that the buisness is closed and the the cars were scraped on friday

there was 4 cars left outsidde and mine was nxt in line

thanks fully he foned me to get it back asap

its now on my drive under cover until i get my two escorts done and sold

we got hold of the landlord today and hes says we can go into the paintshop tomorrow and see what else is ours in there

as my paint and towing eye cover is there ( hopefully)

plus extras if theres anything worth having

but a lot of cars got scraped

including cars like triumph stags, hill man imps, a 240z race car

theer was also a beetle there that was almost finished that the lad had spent about 5k on the bodywork

all gone

i was very lucky

but there is nothing we can do about the scrap cars, i feel very sorry for the owners who have lost them and am happy that they contacted me before mine went

 

How can they legally scrap someone elses car??

they aint been scrapped... they been taken by the bloke runnin the business IMO...

 

this is also what i would like to know

wil try and find more out tomorrow as im going down there

ill update as soon as the car gets to new paintshop

ive found one now which is about 100yrds from my house

so i can keep aqn eye on it this time
