Well, after a long wait for a slot in the bodyshop things are finally moving along now. Went to see how the old girl is getting on today and I am very pleased with the results so far. The shell should be ready for collection mid next week and then the fun part of putting it back together.
Enjoy the pictures.

Yes im struggling to find 1 myself. Have you got the number for the buisness where you got it from please.
Im thinking of going down the same route either plug welding or put 4 or 5 stud inserts on the bulk head and bolt it with sealer inbetween the 2 panels. As me having the ssme thoughts wanted paint under the panels.

Hi Chaps.
Just like to say a big thank you to all of you who have liked my facebook page so far https://www.facebook.com/www.Autoresto.co.uk . As you may or may not know I am starting up my own vehicle restoration company this year and I really appreciate the support from this forum and its members. I've had a few enquiries to date so I'm looking forward to putting some more old classics back on the road.
The RS has had some delays in the body shop but I have been told this morning she will be ready for collection the early part of next week. I will get some more pictures up soon.
I have also been busy reproducing some hard to find replacement parts which may help someone who is restoring a MK2 Escort. These are now available on ebay.

or you can get them from my website.

That is a truely fantastic resto, seems a bit of a shame to call it a resto really as you have conserved so much of the original metalwork using some of the most awesome fabricating skills ive ever seen on a thread.
Man id love to be able to fabricate,im extremely jealous of your skills op, well tbh im jealous of anyone who can fabricate at all let alone like this
top top work op
P.S dont suppose your looking for an apprentice??,im local-ish lol
