Default BLACK S2

Hi there as you know my black S2 ive been waiting to get it painted and mate of mine (Ferg) suggested we do it ourselves so off we went to the local car paint place and got all the necessary bits and we started stripping her and wel this is the task we have ahead of ourselves

Got a mate coming round to do the welding in a couples of weeks that will be the floor the front and rear windows and bit underneath now i know alot of people would give up at this point but in all fairness ive seen alot worst and it looks worst than it actually is so now i got to source some new bits ie a dash and few other bits :thumbsup

when i did my underside ben i used hammerite underseal with added waxoyl.
you can buy it in halfords.
it comes in spray and brush form and i used both.
baremetal the underside,then prime,then hammerite.
i used stonechip in my arches.
if you stonechip the underside you risk future rust probs i think.
stonechip dries hard, and if i gets chipped, you risk water getting underneath it and rusting the car.
hammerite underseal stays like rubbery, and if it chips it kinda moulds back into itself and seals again.
depends what you want really.
stonechip would prob look better and be easier to clean ,but underseal makes car more useable.
cheers
