All it needs now is brakes bleeding, and a couple of little shitty bits - it starts and drives now! So I'm all over Central Day next year like a rash (see above)

Well its still in the body shop been there since April , hopefully it will be done soon now ive missed this summer there's no point rushing them now, at least it gives me all winter to get it put together and get a few miles on it, will give you a shout when it starts going together and if your in the area you will have to pop in.

 

They bolt from the rear section of the cage and come down at a 45 degree angle and bolt to a floor bracket next to the drivers seat

 

Well dropped the car off at wills yesterday for mapping after a week of hell with the inlet exploding!! Will rekons it should be done in a week if no issues a rise with the car got a short video from him last night saying the hot idle was done so fingers crossed everything goes ok and it pulls the numbers later on in the week

It's Beeing capped at around 370@ the wheels I dnt want any oil pump issues! So hopefully it makes that power!!

Its in safe hands with Will.

 

Car made 330bhp at the wheels today at 1.65 bar if boost with very safe ignition but had to call it a day at that due to a second fuel pump failure which we think is down to a rusty fuel tank!!

So I'm off to pic the car up from will Friday bring it home a sort out the issues

Big thanks to will as there's been quite a few issues with the car while it's been over there and he's done a wicked job to get it to this stage!!

Si I hope it's lively lol! Going to remove the under car tank and replace it with an in car drag tank from jazz also going to change the exhaust while it's Beeing done and swap the fuel lines out for Teflon ones

I wouldn't get a jazz tank mate I got 1 in mine and I hate it , wish I just bought a alloy 1

 

the plastic jazz fuel tanks will smell of fuel

 

My car smells of fuel now due to the boot mounted swirl pot
How bad are the tanks stu are they a bad design

 

Fuel pooling in the inlet manifold due to timing issues that was resolved, a map that was not optimised for the engine, head, injectors and cams and also an issue with a wire to the crank position sensor which was also resolved. This lot combined caused a massive inlet back fire resulting in the plenum exploding.

Picked the car up from will Friday and Started to sorce the bits for my new fuel system this weekend

Also upgrading the fuel lines to teflon and fuel an-6 fitting the fuel system

 

Shame about the problems with the fuel pump.

 

Not good to hear, I've just fitted a Jaz fuel cell

To be fair mine is behind a firewall in the boot though.
