pmsl, yes they are over 5 years old, so will be replaced by a brand new set 
not sure what colour as yet tho
car should be running tmrw, its just the little bits and pieces that take all the time, plus Matts a fussy fcuker

we made some more progress today, after doing the clutch & gearbox on Friday, fitting the turbo & exhaust yesterday (then had to go & get the later spec spec dash etc so didn't get a lot more done) today we fitted the coilovers, changed the oil & filter, fitted a new header tank then cracked on with fitting the rad & cooler, we fabricated a bracket to give a bit more clearance for the T3, after a bit of fettling it all sat nicley. Next was cutting the bumper to suit, that was a pain in the arse, bits of plastic & foam everywhere got the bumper fitting round the cooler well & then looked for a bit more airflow, the problem was that we didn't want an 'open mouth' bumper, it needed to look quite 'factory' so we cut the edges back an inch or so on the air intake above the number plate so the air hits more of the cooler, you can see more of the cooler now but it still looks pretty origonal
After i changed the oil & filter i turned the engine over by hand a few times to get a bit of oil round it, then connected a jump pack, disconnected the coilpack & cranked it enough to prime the turbo, reconnected the turbo feed pipe & the coil pack, turned the key & it started on the button
That was enough for today, tomorrow we need to fit the rest of the mouldings & badges, then if i'm in the mood we may fit the later spec (ebony black) dash, carpet, cards, parcel shelf etc....

its just i picked up a t3 the other and i think its a series 1, one as it doesn't seem to have water cooling lol

im no good at saving, ill save a bit then go any buy something. i suppose it helps a lot with matt doing a lot of the work. dont suppose you have any turbos for sale do you? a bit off topic i know but mines smoking a bit and i reckon it will drop its guts on the r/r
