you say the roof is dent free, but it has a sunroof?
why bother with a carbon roof? i hate to sound funny, i promote anyone willing try a project and i love the face your trying but i cant help but feel that you money would be better spend else where.
if your just doing trackdays, the most fun ive had on a track day was in a saxo VTR that was built on pennys. it has a group N supersprint exhaust, K&N panel, braided hoses, stripped out and a momo in it.
went round for the whole day, took absolute hell, never missed a beat and we were going round with a mk1 focus RS, 2wd cossy and a mk2 rs2000 so it was far from slow.

my point is, for a track car, you would probably be better building a running mondeo, stripping it out, doing a track day then assessing what needs doing first EG, more power, more brakes, better suspension, carbon roof or whatever.
if your going for fun, i think that is a better plan. and if your going for speed and performance you have a poor base.

Intercooler will look good behind the RS bumper.

Well I had another good crack at it today. Ecu is now powered and the fuel pump does its thing and it turns over all on the key.

Well happy.

It will be fine until I can afford the rs500 1. It's fairly chunky at 70mm core it's not bad

Not really a 4x4 cossie cooler is about the same size and much thicker than 70mm rs500 style only get away with 70mm due to size of core, what left to do before starting?

The 4x4 cossie cooler is far too thick and bulky. There no way it would fit any where under the bonnet unless it was top mounted with a scoop.

Left to do before starting is; find and fix the oil leaks, plum in rest of water piping, fit/ wire in lambder, plum in boost hoses and fit throttle cable.

Will be using a wide band but for now just a mondeo 1. On a plus note, it starts up and runs for a couple of seconds.

I think it's about time I addressed your conserns. I'm after a all round budget fast car. It has to be faster than my mates civic but half the cost and the same wow factor. It's more a proof of consept, of a easely transplantable drive train. ie. can make a 300bhp 4wd cougar or st200 in a weekend.

With reguards to a vts
1- it's not Ford
2- my feet are too big for the peddles.
3- it's not a Ford

The areas I need to spend money on will all be done before it even sees a road or track.
To do list not in this order
1- gaz golds
2- exhaust
3- mapping
4- a set of rouse hoses air and water
5- bigger rs 500 styal intercooler
6- roll cage
7- paint
8- carbon roof
9- fuel system swirl pot, twin 044 ect
10- carbon door cards
11- swade steering wheel with snap off boss.
12- peddle box
13- new fia approved harnesses.
14- 21mm ARB with uprated drop links

Then a MOT
