This looks like a nice, refined and sensible base for a project. I'm sure you'll do the right thing and return the engine back to it's rightful place in the front of the car. Can't imagine what anyone was thinking about doing this to such a lovely XR3i in the first place. Neanderthals.

I was kidding! It's a fucking ace project mate, wish i had the skills/time/funds to take on something like this!!!! Better using a MK4 for something like this than to have sitting rotting away under a tarpaulin in someones drive.

First thing I would do if I had that is move the fuel tank over the front wheels. One reason is for weight and the other is it's a fuckin stupid idea having it next to the engine lol

It looks a bit rushed to me tbh and on a minimal budget. but good to see another i cant see what they have done intercooler/chargecooler wise? looks like an intercooler behind the seats which aint gonna get no airflow at all ??...

almost finished all the wiring now aswell, next will be the exhaust, then fuel pump and then she'll be running

loads of parts will be for sale at the weekend = p8 cossie managment with anti-lag and coil pack, custom inlet manifold and tubula exhaust manifold custom made, focus rs mk1 brembos with brand new ebc yellow stuff pads with brackets and braided hoses, stage 2+ cts gearbox with quaife diff, BRAND NEW HEAD from fords NEVER been skimmed so maximum compression - cnc machined head with big valves newman custom camshaft (phase 4 slightly tweaked) with solid lifters double valve springs vernier pulley, bottom end- wossner forged pistons (cr=7.5.1) farndon h-section forged steel conrods rebuilt just under 2000miles ago comes with ap 4 paddle clutch, adjustable tca's x2 sets brand new etc

i know mate but want a year away from projects and just gonna buy something else for summer 2013. turbo's sold already.
the head is efi - brand new never been skimmed or used, all work done by cnc heads, big valves, newman phase 4 camshaft (done 200miles), double valve springs, head has never been run.

they are big valves, im looking for £700 complete, but if theres bits you dont need it will be cheaper.
