Is there a place tat does plating and chrome out near market deeping jimbo?? my mates building an amazing mk1 escort with a cossie engine live mapped by norris motorsport and im sure he's had some stuff done out that way. Or that may be something totally different. wheres peterborough plating? Seem to think down near perkins parkway for some reason?

right another small one,
i cant stop smiling when i see this so had to take a pic, white saff and ambers lush!
now, after getting the front to my satisfaction, i stripped it
ready for a bay paint
now have two diffs,welded one for sale if anyone wants some fun!
the right one (massive thanks to pimp daddy btw!) is now at bara motorsport having a brand new titan limited slip diff unit being fitted
and now, my fave bit!
driveshafts are done!!!
also found some history on the old girl so will post it up in a min

Right! Update! Managed to get a previous owners number
Spoke to him and he told me basically the cars full history lol
He and his dad owned the cars for the past ten years, they had known the car from when it was two years old as it sat in a local ford dealers in Retford, it was up for 10k, this was 1990.
They could not afford the car at the time and it sold to a local lad who used it from 1990-1994, he worked up 48k on it and then took It off the road.
Whilst it was off the road, he put a near new leather interior in it and bought a genuine rs500 engine,
He rebuild the engine to "500" spec, which we later found out was a pile of shite, but anyway he fitted that, along with a different diff gearbox etc (all standard lol!)
This never got used up until year 2000!
In the year 2000 the Lad and his mrs split up, his mrs won the court case for the car and ended up in possession of it,
This is where the last owner and his dad got it, being into the cossie scene and owning a few, the lady sold it to them.
It had no history file with it as because the guy lost the car he wouldn't give the history with it, said he would rather burn it
It was kept in the garage with only a few miles ever done, started every now and then but barely used,
Tis was kept for 9/10 years which bought us to 2010.
He Then sold a few of his cars including this one (my dads friend bought it to break) and this is where I ended up with it
Really happy at the min, also took off the vin tag today and noticed it has been etched 22/06/88 so I think this is when she was born

Awsome Jim, nice to have history. Mine kinda looks like this...."family car, basic A to B duties......other half of the car has taken the usual Cossie abuse"

haha its a shame i didnt get a folder or own but wasnt bothered at all but managed to get the number and this guy gave me all the info he could which was nice,
diff should be fine, like i say, titan plated and the race/track boys use them and are fine!

Regardless of the history, you got the reputation and built some mega cars in the past so I doubt this will be any different. The work done so far is proof alone, so when the day comes when you wanna sell on, at least its in a position where everyone knows every inch of it.

Where are the special holders you made for your drive shafts Think i may have to do another set of shafts for mine as i chose the wrong colour and yours look better, lol.
Let me know when the diff is done and I can collect if you need as not too far from Bara..
