Hi, ive just bagged myself a nice resto mark1 ford capri.. 1969, 1600l

I need a bit of advice tho,

Im just getting under the bonnet, engine bay sorted, and it needs abit of tlc, but what im trying to find out is.....

where the front wing meets the bay, is there a chanel, that runs along the wing inside? or is it just a straight join to the bay?

there seems to be a start of a chanel inside, but stops at about 5cm from the top of the wing???? i just need to know if this should continue all the way...
