well, its basic, but put simply, a piggy-back unit that links inbetween the crank sensor and ecu for timing reference/adjustability/retard, also piggy-backed into throttle position to switch it on/off at idle/low speed, and hooked into idle control valve for extra air/fuel at idle. a bit basic atm, but im currently developing it on my saab so will keep posted on how it goes. if all goes well, then who knows, may well start making up kits. il also test it on my zetec too. just wanted to get a feel for possible demand and any thoughts on the matter. cant see much point in paying out hundreds for als equiped management if i can develop my own unit, especially when the existing ecu has virtually every other concievable gadget except als. so any thoughts/comments are greatly appreciated. especially if anyones tried something like this before???

Is it going to be linked in to EGT probe etc. so the people without marham shafted turbos can run it? Also will it run on a standard throttle body?

i had an idea for a shifter unit that would run most h patten fwd gearboxes with a siquentioal (spelling) style fore-aft shifter, making a CAD model at the moment.

Thought Quaife already have a sequential IB5 Gearbox setup for the Fiesta ST? Also unsure who make it but believe the new Fiesta uses a IB5 and theres a sequential for that in the Fiesta R2s

this pain wont let me reply for ages, sorry for the delay. ive shelved the als for time being as my turbo is in storage for the near future and work has taken precedence. anyway, im getting off the ground with the sequential shifter, its similar to the unit in the above link, but less bulky and looking more like a standars escort/fiesta selector assembly. Quaife do do front drive sequential boxes, but for general road use do you really wish to pay Ł2k+? when then qequential part is a modified internal linkage.
this leaves the box standard and fits as a straight swap for the o.e. linkage, well, it will when its completed, just as soon as i can spend more time on it in workshop rather than working.

We did a stand alone antilag setup, worked well, but we used the output side of the ecu not the input, if you move the input too far then you'll be altering injector timing etc too.
Still possible of course, but the output side seems like a more professional way of doing it to me and thats what we did.
