It does around 25-30 mpg the way i have mapped it, the engine goes in really easy, the turbo and manifold are quite tricky as is the gearbox build, also if wiring is not your thing then the Ecu maybe a problem. Depends if you have done something like this before, i didnt find it much of a challenge, but then ive done loads of similar conversions

nope, from what you said you didnt really want anything for the three inches of escort rs turbo downpipe you gave me although you suggested you may want some door seals (which i gave you, for you only to say "no its window seals i need") i dont have any escorts or escort spares, and i cant see me getting any in the near future, if it it a major deal i can always give you a tenner for the pipe or even give you another one back if you need it soo much. You may have more luck asking on here if anyone has the parts you are looking for, but be sure to word it correctly and ask for the right bits, thanks chaffe

The way i saw it was i had the part and you were desperate for it ,and i was happy to help out and give you it as a favour because we share a mutual friend and thats what sites like this are for hence not wanting anything for it ,from that you asked if i needed anything for it and i said i was after door seals and i agree i should have said window seals for doors .
From that you turned up with door seals and i explained what i needed and you replied that your mate had some and i took this in good faith to mean i was getting seals .
i stand by giving you the item for free but would rather have had you told me politely to jog on two months ago so i could have went and sourced them myself rather than being strung along on a conversation and emails that were never going to come to anything
no problems simple misunderstanding and thats the end of it as far as im concerned but i will be less likely to help others in future unless the deal is done there and then
thanks
harvey

lol, yeah, ive had the box out and just putting it back in, cos im a tard and didnt build it right (or drank too much lager) first time round. Time for some more boost and some finishing refinements now i think, like radio and some final tuning, It has a bad lean bit/too much ig advance at 3500rpm at about -6 psi, a short while with the laptop should sort this. Then some summer fun, a few day trips with the bird and a few trips to crail 1/4 mile raceway me thinks, oh and i need to get it dynoed! so i can go down the pub and speak shit to everyone when ive drank too much.

prob in the region of 250+ by the arse dyno, at only 6psi, upping the boost now ive fixed some teathing probs to nearer 10psi, will be over 300 bhp and over 350 lbft torque then. But as it is just now it is undrivable in the wet lol. ill get on the vids mate, not done any yet!
