thats just a 1.3 escort mate clutch slip is when you put your foot down and the revs rise but not in accordance to the speed increase.

heres the cars ive done a little work to in the past and none of these are dangerous, (its only my scooter thats dangerous at the moment) 3 of the cars i put them through an Mot no probs. below is a few befor and after shots take a look id say its pretty good to say got the little white van when i was 16 through to now 18 with the Escort.

they all look chavvy! the rover especially, although it did look tidy.
just focus on the mechanical aspect of this escort tho! u said it doesn't run right, FIX THAT, then put stupid sun strips and halfords alloys that emphasize the standard ride height.

each car just seems to get chavvier than the last ! you need to stop with the halfords rattle cans and add ons and make the cars sound first...but thats just my two pence worth .

how about i save you all the hassle of buggering up the escort aswell ! i will swap you for it some wheel bearings for your scooter and ten tubs of filler ready for your next project? do we have a deal or are you not back from halfords yet SORRY but come on if your going to do a car at least do it right its other peoples lives at stake with dodgey repairs and wheel bearings made from sockets ffs!

The sockets are safe as houses, ye they may squeek a little after a while but nout that a bit of 3 in 1 oil wont sort. Any way its the scooter's mot in a few weeks so will have to be sorted.

There has been nothing bought from Halfords at all for the cars

Ye they were x2 12" 500watt each subs but just used them as normal speakers as i already had that big sub box wiv built in amp.They were great, very bassy without an amp

Got a pair of Gti side skirts and the rear bumper spats today for only Ł20, bargain ehh.
They are not fitted yet i just offered them up to see what they looked like.
To fit them i think u drill hole then use self tappers is this correct, please tell me if its not. Thanks

Got thisfrom the same guy who i got the skirts off but not gonna use it as it makes the car pretty quiet which is what i dont want, needs to be roaring butthis is the secondbackbox ive bought now and its just not woring so not gonna bother putting a back box on, it just has the cat and thats it.and sound pretty good and its not overly loud and the engine revs is more responsive,dont know if this has anything to do with removing the middle silencer.


Its a shame not to use this as it looks awesome. May cut off the letter box tip and weld it on but dunno yet

When you succumb to the exhaust fumes leaking into the car from the shit exhaust bodges - you will awake in A&E and realise that you have absolutely no idea about how to work on a car safely - never mind modify one competently. How can it all be going well when everything you own is unroadworthy?

As a lot of others on this thread have already said to you, you would be far better off actually repairing the faults with the vehicle that already exist than just nailing on stuff that should really be on the bottom of the list and also concentrate on passing your test.

You have to get your priorities right mate.
