cheers peeps been a bit diffcult to work on the car at the moment as i have had a few customers cars in the garage doing sound installs etc but i sanded the second layer of filler down last night and put another one on...
its sitting like this at the minute
my dad also spoke to the welders today and it seems like they have stopped working on my car
pi55ed off is an understatement! the welder is now claiming he didnt know about the sills needing a plate welding in as well etc....so dad had a right go at them today and to get it sorted or they aint getting paid
takes the mick though...everything i seem to be getting done elsewhere for this car has turned into a nightmare!! first my rear suspension and now this! lets just hope i dont have to wait 10-11months for this and even then have to ask for my money back 
can u tell im going through mixed emotions at the minute lol

got some piccies
the arches also come out slightly wider than the normal arches so i can space the back wheels out a bit more
or so i can go 8 wide on the back with no scrubbing HOPEFULLY
also sanded the bumper down again...getting there slowly slowly
going back out after eastenders to carry on sanding

cheers for the comment peeps just waiting for the filler to dry and gonna go back to sand down hopefully the last layer on the bumper...have started on the front bumper as well
just noticed that the people that were welding the car have hit the front bumper on something and taken a chunk out of it
if u look in the last set of pics you should be able to see it

hey there peeps...got a pic of the damage
its quite deep although u cant really tell from that pic... 
going to go and see them tomo and see what they say!
on a brighter note the Rear bumper is now complete
have also flattened the paintwork down on the front...just need to do the sides while il do when i go back in the garage after this little update
while i was waiting for....erm...actually i think i just got bored of the rear bumper i started work on the front
badge and lower bar of bumper is off
then filled in the indent for the badge after grinding it back to metal
am off back in the garage now to finish the sides and inside of the bumper

adam...no idea lol...ill find out when they tell me to collect
rs monkey...yes it was me with the scirocco...with offers around the Ł700-800 with the car complete i had no need to let it go...those were insulting offers hence me deciding against selling the car complete and letting in go in parts...just the respray alone would have cost more than the offers i have, suspension alone was worth Ł550, rims a further Ł650 not to mention all of the one of things that went onto the car...
in the end i made Ł1200 out of the Scirocco once the rims suspenion and exhaust went so i dont think i done too bad...
and another reason i didnt want to sell it complete coz i know someone would have taken credit for all of my own hardwork and just gone to a magazine claiming they done everything
im the end....i think i won overall and im glad i stuck to my guns

no probs rs monkey.... people did get a bit arsey about it and to be honest...most of the people that did wanted to buy the car for peanuts compared to what it was worth...fair enough was just a 'Scirocco' at the end of the day...but how many did u see like this

another update peeps...got these parts through today...
my headlights
completly clear indicators
smoked rear lights
Brand new Ford front wings
New Ford badge
Saph cossie number plate light
A-pillar gauge holder
all my lights together (how sad am i even with the ford badge in the middle )
mission of today was to start work on the new rear number plate light...
i wanted to stand out a be a bit different to every other RS Turbo/mk4 escort out there and do a lot of subtle touches to the car...the first being the number plate light...my new one is off a Saph Cossie...and the main problem switching them is this:
the new holder is considerably smaller than the old one so i had to think of a way to make a reducer panel but at the same time retain standard lines and looks...i was told to use cardboard by someone 
but instead i opted for something a bit more solid...so with the cut out from my front bumper...i cut up a small section so i could fit it into the hole where the current light is
once that was cut to the right size...i cut out the section for the light to squeeze into
then cut a bit of the foam out from inside the bumper to allow the plastic to sit in there properly...then fibreglassed it into place...im not too sure if this will crack or anything like that but only time will tell
tomo ill finish that off and start to prep the front wings
