Some one was after one of them roof bits in the escort room ,is your roof deffo just a skin ,ie, is it flimsy, no foam core on the underside(a raised square under the carbon )

Well this one came up cheap so it was a no brainer tbh conner. Plus im not to fussed with the weight saving and if i even want to take the cage out and have an interior i still can, bit if i cut the roof out i would have to keep then cage in it forever!

UPDATE - Been a while but been saving the pennies and now brought a zetec turbo. Few of you may reconise the engine as it was out of Liams MK1 Cortina. Its made top figures so will be more than capable to withstand the 300bhp im aiming for.
Spec:
Engine, Block and head with standard sump
Ian howell built and spec'd
2.1 Silver top
Area 6 custom spec C.P pistons
Steel H section rods- custom length, Longer rod with a shallower piston
ARP bolts
Standard crank standard size
L/Balanced
Focus rs head gasket
Big Valve head,double valve springs,ported and flowed,standard zetec cams
Standard head bolts
OBX Verniers, Dowled
Escort/fiesta water pump

I knew it was you when I saw the 'now sold' on his advert. I'm glad you bought this! Had your name all over it. I saw it last year in the mk1 and looked lovely and pulled it along pretty well

Bit of an update;
Got the car back today after having the gearbox mount put in and having the inner wings modded to accept the Zetec and Focus RS box. Also had the crossmember done and part of the front panel.
Ive just dropped in a spare silvertop that we used to mock it all up. The engine is sitting forward as the rear stablizer isnt fitted yet.

Thought it was meant to be ready for central day... ?! Only joking...
Only an idea, I know the engine has a big valve head so a small turbo might run out of puff further up in the revs but a top notch T3 will make 300 hp on a cossie will it not?! For ultimate spool up could this not be a choice for you?
Only at marks a while ago i asked about a cvh powered car they had in either for mapping or they built the car and it was spec'd with a t3 and the aim was 300hp.. I thought it was small for the aimed power but in theory it should work...
Keep up the work though... it will be worth it in the end!
