Default project mondeo

it started of life as a mk1 mondeo 2.5v6 with factory fitted phase 2 rs kit
but i didnt like the way it looked

so the work started down to the unit it went for a bit of stripping and painting
phase 2 kit was chucked in favour of the better looking phase1 rs kit with small lip spoiler
plus morrette twin headlights were fitted and the side repeater were removed

once the car was back together put a cone filter on the car and made myself a straight through exhaust, plus lowered the car about 80mm and it looks alot better for now

this was part one once i get some more time i will be doing some more changes to the old girl and will keep you all informed

what type of coilovers did you use, and did you fit adjustable camber?

universal? how are you finding them?

i'm having the "knock off" coilovers from the american ford contour/cougar put onto the koni shocks of my mk1 mondy at the moment. they are the cheaper ones though, not the fancy D2's.

i see now theres a knock-off kit from USA for the contour/mondeo which is approx Ł200-250 which includes eibach coilover springs. i might use that kit on my other mondeo.

i'm going for adjustable camber all round on mine, i've always found it scrubbed the insides of the front tyres when it was only lowered 40-50mm even with a full alignment job.

they are the ones that have been welded to the shocks before i got them they are not to bad, i havent noticed any difference in tyre wear since they have been fitted so not to worried about the camber plus they still look the same ish lol

front were an pain in the arse to fit had to fabricate up all new subframes for the seats to fit right but they look awesome now they are in

rears are also fitted but dont have any pics at present just have to make up custom rear door cards and then get the door cards retrimmed in leather plus a couple of dash bits

To be fair I think both colours really suit it!..it's a nice change to see a mond getting some attention!

So you got any major engine plans in the future?

Looking good mate, stripped interior with some black leather buckets would finish it off well I reckon!

Def think the white's better. The blue really dated the car.
